原著的故事梗概讓電影劇情雖顯冗長卻仍討喜，結局讓人慨嘆唏噓，【青春路上多過客，相愛容易相忘難】。攝影配樂俱佳，卡司過於討喜，配角閃瞎眼，尤其是Dean，顛倒眾生，如火不羈卻如水柔情，夢裡花落知多少，故交不知在天涯海角，僅可懷戀：I think of Dean Moriarty, think, of, Dean, Moriarty...

當然，對於原著黨，無論拍成什麼樣都是不會滿意的，因為理想和現實總歸會有差距。這個片子的製作其實是很好的，它的味道是對的。加內特·赫德蘭的表演很棒，性感、叛逆，笑起來還帶些孩子氣，是一個想象中的榜樣，他讓主人公念念不忘，這是一個難忘的瞬間，三星半。

原來Garrett Hedlund說話聲音這麼好聽，低沉迷人超級性感！男演員都不錯！牙叔很開心的打了個崩壞的醬油！可惜女演員問題太大，斯圖爾特拼盡全力跳的那段放蕩舞看著實在彆扭，沒氣質沒演技令人捉急，鄧斯特又特別顯老像個跑錯片場的大媽，杯具。。。

塞勒斯肯定會讓原著黨們不滿甚至憤怒，影片一定程度上拋棄了原著中的核心，反而通過Dean刻畫了一段如黑夜蠟燭般極度燃燒的迷茫青春，技術環節在水準之上，片尾紐約街頭重逢那場戲眼眶微溼。加內特是眾年輕演員中表現最出色的，性感野性不羈同時又迷茫脆弱，完全刮目相看。
