3.5星，美國的戰爭片確實在開闢新形式，不過這一部也不是嚴格意義上的戰爭片，越戰中的PJ的英勇行為約佔1/3，1/3給了戰後退役老兵及其家屬的現狀，1/3給了放棄仕途促成榮譽勳章追授事實的政壇新秀，停止對那段歷史的臧否，重拾人類本性的光芒，他不必駐留於斯，他最終戰死於斯，素不相識的戰友奔走30載為他追回榮耀，明知道在煽情，仍是個好電影。

故事內容的意義大概超過了影片本身。最深印象的是他們的女人們。

為了sebby看的，所以這個四星其實有點私心，單看片子三星。雖然一枚勳章換不回一條生命，但它代表著一段真實的英勇事蹟，也代表著戰友們30多年的努力和奔走。片尾的授勳儀式和真人採訪比較感人。“This is the power of what one person can do.” 願沒有人不得不犧牲，也願那些犧牲的人得到應有的recognition。
