記者崔由鎮“柳承龍 飾”追尋一條死刑犯金鐘久當年被捕時因食一美味醬湯的線索，繼而查出做大醬湯的女人張慧珍“李瑤媛 飾”與下水道清潔工出身的富豪“趙成夏”共同死於一起車禍的事件。“柳承龍”將追尋新聞事件的焦點轉為“大醬”的製作，最終發現了那絕世美味的“大醬”背後“李瑤媛”與“李東旭”“悽美”的愛情故事以及絕世美味的諸多成因。
