本片的荒誕零散令人聯想到布紐爾的《自由的幻影》，但後者在荒誕之中寄寓意，在零散之中見邏輯；前者則思考深度平平（可能與喜劇感多以肢體表現有關，語言畢竟才是更可信的載體），段落間切割痕跡也較明顯（缺乏統貫的主題，而更像是一冊不很高明的笑話集）。懷疑為本片加上「懸疑、驚悚」標籤的，應該沒看過電影本人吧？
